1 in 5 adults unable to swim

“Up to nine million adults - 20% of men and 22% of women over the age of 14 - are unable to swim” claims the national governing body, Swim England.

This means that 1 in 5 people in the UK that aren’t able to swim before their teenage years, never learn the lifesaving skill.

At swim!, we know that learning to swim is more than just a weekend hobby for your child. Taking part in swimming lessons teaches them determination, courage, social skills – as well as allowing you to relax on holiday knowing that they’re safe in the pool!

For parents that aren’t confident in the water and don’t feel comfortable taking their children swimming, swim! makes sure your little one doesn’t miss out. Other parents that visit the pool every weekend may feel that their child needs extra help with technique or might just enjoy making some new friends to splash around with – either way, we’re here to make sure your child learns to swim and enjoys every lesson!
